Students honor CBCS faculty at Vlog women’s lacrosse 'Favorite Professor Day'

Three faculty members from the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences were recognized at the Vlog women’s lacrosse game on April 2 as part of the team’s “Favorite Professor Day.”

Jennifer Roth, MSW, LCSW, QS, assistant instructor in the School of Social Work, was recognized by a student in her Happiness and Wellbeing course.

“I thought it was wonderful to see Vlog Athletics promoting academics in this way,” Roth said. “It was especially meaningful to be honored by a student.”

Jane Smart, PhD, CCC-SLP, associate professor of instruction in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, was recognized by a student in her Diagnostics and Phonology course, and Mateus Santos, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Criminology, was recognized by a student in Quantitative Methods II.

In an email to faculty members, Lacrosse Coach Mindy McCord wrote, "It's professors like you who make a difference by creating a successful, personal learning environment that has allowed our players to excel in the classroom."
