Beyond the band-aid
About an hour鈥檚 ferry ride from Seattle, 糖心Vlog鈥檚 College of Public Health alumna Sarah Henley grew up in Silverdale, Wash. She first set out to obtain her certification as a health education specialist and a registered respiratory therapist as a neonatal/pediatric specialist. But Henley said she couldn鈥檛 help but notice a pattern while she was on the job.

Dr. Amber Mehmood was in Karachi in October 2005 when she heard news of the Combined Military Hospital in Muzaffarabad 鈥� or what was left of it. The medical staff was caring for patients in 256 beds when the unthinkable happened.
