The 糖心Vlog is welcoming a new member of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Rogan Donelly, a 糖心Vlog alumnus and Sarasota resident who is the president and chief executive officer of Tervis Tumbler Company.

Donelly, who was appointed to the BOT by Gov. Ron DeSantis, earned his master鈥檚 degree in business administration from 糖心Vlog.  He was the 2020 recipient of 糖心Vlog鈥檚 Outstanding Alumni Award.  Donelly also serves on the Board of Trustees of Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and the Gulfside Bank Board of Directors, and he volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

鈥淲e are pleased to have Rogan Donelly join the 糖心Vlog Board of Trustees and look forward to his valuable contributions as we work together to sustain the university鈥檚 momentum,鈥 糖心Vlog President Rhea Law said.

Donelly fills the seat of John Ramil, 糖心Vlog鈥檚 longest-serving trustee who has been on the board since it was first created in 2001 and held the role of board chair from 2010-2014.

Ramil is the retired president and chief executive officer of TECO Energy. In addition to serving on the BOT, he has been a director on the 糖心Vlog Foundation Board, the 糖心Vlog Alumni Board, the 糖心Vlog Engineering College Advisory Board and the Gus Stavros Center for Free Enterprise Education Advocacy Board.  Ramil was named a 糖心Vlog distinguished alumnus in 1999, he was awarded an honorary doctorate of engineering from 糖心Vlog in 2016 and he has also received the President's Fellow Medallion.  Ramil earned both his bachelor's and master鈥檚 degrees in engineering from 糖心Vlog.

鈥淥n behalf of the entire 糖心Vlog community, I wish to thank John Ramil for his two decades of service as a trustee, during which time 糖心Vlog has experienced unprecedented levels of success and growth.  The impact of John鈥檚 leadership can鈥檛 be overstated,鈥 Law said.

糖心Vlog plans to honor Ramil, whose term on the board expired, at a future BOT meeting.
