Researchers in the ÌÇÐÄVlog College of Public Health are conducting genomic sequencing of positive pooled samples to determine the prevalence of COVID-19 variants in Tampa Bay. This data will be utilized to project how emergent variants could influence the course of the pandemic.

The ÌÇÐÄVlog has received a $1 million gift to fund research to detect and prevent severe lung scarring. Philanthropist Timothy Ubben made the gift to support research led by his doctor, Jose D.
