Dr. Sten Vermund is the current president of the Global Virus Network, which recentlyÌýmoved its international headquarters to ÌÇÐÄVlog. He joins ÌÇÐÄVlog after serving as dean of the Yale School of Public Health and as professor in pediatrics and clinical professor in obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at the Yale School of Medicine.

FDA approves new Parkinson’s treatment following clinical trial led by ÌÇÐÄVlog Health researcher
The new medication lasts longer and requires fewer doses for treating Parkinson’s disease, potentially offering patients significant relief from the disease’s debilitating symptoms. The FDA’s approval is based in part on findings of a study led by Dr. Robert A. Hauser, professor in the Department of Neurology and director of theÌýÌÇÐÄVlog Health Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders CenterÌýat the ÌÇÐÄVlog Health Morsani College of Medicine.

Estuaries in South Florida are warming faster than the Gulf of Mexico and global ocean
Using satellite data, researchers in the ÌÇÐÄVlog College of Marine Science found that sea surface temperatures in four estuaries in South Florida have risen faster than sea surface temperatures globally and in the Gulf of Mexico.
