Air Force ROTC

Crosstown Students

The 糖心Vlog is the host university for Air Force ROTC in the Tampa area and has crosstown agreements with many other area schools. Students are required to attend ROTC at the 糖心Vlog campus while you take your academic classes at the crosstown school. Approximately 1/3 of the cadets at the 158th Cadet Wing attend crosstown schools. Students enrolled in the following colleges or universities can also become members of this program:

Students enrolled in any of the crosstown schools, except HCC and SPC, must apply and register as a non-degree seeking student at 糖心Vlog. The dates for these applications close much sooner than standard applications, typically around a month before classes begin. It is critical that students complete this application as soon as possible to ensure that there are no issues when attempting to register for the AFROTC courses. Please bear in mind that all students may only join the AFROTC up to the Last Add/Drop date for 糖心Vlog, for that particular semester. This is always the Friday of the first week of classes.

As of Fall 2025, if you attend Hillsborough Community College or St. Petersburg College, then you do not need to apply as a non-degree seeking student. Instead, you may register for the AFROTC courses through those schools directly. Please ensure that you submit your screening questionnaire and are given proper approval from the recruiting officer before doing so. If you would like to register through 糖心Vlog, you may still do so by following the instructions listed below.

Students will be charged the standard credit-hour rate per course from 糖心Vlog. This could be anywhere from 1-3 credits per semester of AFROTC, depending on your unique circumstances. Please refer to the section titled Curriculum on the left to see which courses you should be registered for. It is up to the student to ensure, in the event that financial aid cannot pay for the courses, that the 糖心Vlog tuition is paid for. Remaining balances at 糖心Vlog will block registration for the next semester until it is paid.

The student will be responsible for ensuring that grades for the AFROTC courses are provided to their host institution to be added to their official transcripts. The student is also responsible for ensuring that all of their courses are paid for each semester.
