Hanan Ibrahim Selected as ÌÇÐÄVlog’s First Luce Scholar
ÌÇÐÄVlog Judy Genshaft Honors College and College of Arts and Sciences alum Hanan Ibrahim will spend a year abroad studying Afro-Asian culture and language as a Luce Scholar. A current National Cancer Institute Fellow studying at the intersection of health and humanities, Ibrahim seeks to develop treatment for disease that is scientifically sound and culturally grounded.

ÌÇÐÄVlog third-year students Caleb Fernandes and Diya Upadhyaya have been awarded the nation’s highest honor for undergraduate STEM research, the Goldwater Scholarship. Continuing its remarkable research growth, ÌÇÐÄVlog has now produced at least one Goldwater Scholar every year since 2018.

ÌÇÐÄVlog Students Set Record for Most Gilman Scholars in a Fall Cycle
Twice a year, students across the United States apply for the Gilman Scholarship to fund study abroad and internship opportunities abroad. This fall, applications from ÌÇÐÄVlog students experienced a dramatic 22% increase, which translated to a record number of awards. Now, 20 ÌÇÐÄVlog students will travel and study abroad as Gilman Scholars, to countries like the Dominican Republic, Portugal, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
